Newborns Linked across Borders – Idea 4/365

The world is getting smaller each year, but we still fight and kill each other for reasons that are plain weird. Old fights being carried into each new generation, illusion of religion correctness, revenge, power hunger and even justice all support ongoing fights. I have often wondered about how to connect the world on a more personal level, and how that might help us all live peacefully and to the greater purpose of us all as species. This is one such idea.

When you are born you are connected with another baby in another country and another culture. Let’s say that you are born in New Zealand which is a westernised, capitalist country; you might get connected with someone from Ethiopia or northern China. Each set of parents will share pictures and stories with each other, and when the kids become old enough they will be encouraged to stay in touch.

Hopefully, with scale and time, this will result in web of connections between people around the globe, making us all better neighbours.
