If it wasn't for my love of films I might not have decided to write about this new little cute website called Short Reviews.  Not because they don't deserve it, because they do as this is a fantastic site, but rather because we have so many other sites out there doing the same.  Most notable for movie reviews would of course be IMDB which is one of my top 10 visit sites, while on Facebook we have rather unfortunately Flixter as the dominant site.  Similarly for books, shows (tv.com) and music there are countless sites out there.

I predict that 2010-11 will see surge of tools on the Internet that combine several services into one simple to use interface. The fact is that we must all be getting tired of having countless services such as Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, Digg, MySpace (anyone still using that?), Gmail, LinkedIn etc. Even with our massive brains and capacity for multitasking, keeping all these services up to date is a daunting task, left only for the most devoted Internet surfers.

In recent months the internet is turning into a greater melting pot than ever before. Bombarded with continuous news and updates we find ourselves trying to share what is interesting by tweeting or throwing status lines on Facebook. Sharing link is not always the answer though and even if you have options to share more, it will either involve copying text or writing a description. Amplify is here to give us more selective options as to what we are sharing from each site.

This is about the best idea since sliced bread, while being of no uses what so ever! Loving Star Trek I purchased the Klingon dictionary few months after it came out. Having the vision of learning how to speak Klingon followed me all the way to Japan and China. Seeing that I can hardly learn either of those languages I gave up on Klingon!

Gist offers a completely new way to view your contacts from many of the various networks out there in the big Internet world.  Taking a quick look at it here on SamRag.com we feel it is very interesting though it did raise some questions.
